Might have been a customer from Root insurance for many years. Many vehicles went to them after USAA dropped me when I had a claim for a neck injury that was just whiplash at that point but eight months later was Root insurance I had an accident where a lady hit me at an angle That affected my unhealed neck from the previous accident.
We got all the test done and they claimed to have a police report that was saying that it was my fault. Accident in private parking lot and denied my claim based on it when I still have a neck injury, which doesnt work All my stands up-to-date dont get payment.
I had to pay all those co-pays to get those diagnosis then look at the claim which they harassed me for 2 1/2 years while Im paying co-pays and transportation and they give me $938 out of my $10,000 PIP policy which I shouldve had at my disposal for my glasses to be replaced on my co-pays, my transportation, my medications my expenses for sending him 50,000 hardcopies my 50,000 hours on the phone and they just flat out deny me gave me a a small check before I cashed that check. I told them that this was they agreed to give me that check because I was under arrest and I needed to be compensated for some of my expenses after 2 1/2 years When the claim is still open because they kept it open, they kept asking me for paperwork

Stay open an hour longer to service west coast clients at a decent time!! I want to speak with an agent as I d/c my auto plan with this company!!
I asked for a cheaper rate and they knew I did not drive many miles per day or week but they violated state regulations and charged me over $250 anyway. I had no demerits in the allotted time.

I was supposed to cancel that last night when I left the dealership. I went with another insurance company. I want and need that $248.50 refunded back to my account ASAP.

I was quoted one price for my vehicles but there was a glitch in the app and I was actually charged a completely different, more expensive price. I called the customer service app and even the representative said, 'That's really high and strange.' Unfortunately, he refused to fix this price and said there was nothing he could do.
I went and redid my quote with a different email. That quote is also about $150 cheaper than what I was originally charged! I took screenshots to prove the price I am now being quoted in hopes that a manager can resolve this for me. I would have never picked this company for insurance with the price that they are making me pay now.
I'm so upset.
I'm seriously paying over a hundred dollars for insurance. Why quote me something lower with a different email?

I got into an accident on 7/19 which was a Friday. I called my insurance immediately to set up a rental and explain what happened.
Apparently, the office is not open on weekends, so I didn't hear anything back from anyone until the following Wednesday. It took a week to get put into a rental. I was stuck at home for a week with no vehicle. Luckily, I work from home and can use Instacart and DoorDash, so it was not too bad.
It's been almost a month, and my adjuster, Jerome, is the bane of my existence. He doesn't communicate or return phone calls. It took him 4 days to provide an estimate on my car, when the turnaround time was 24-48 hours. They had to pick up my car from a tow lot in TN to take to KY, and that took almost 5 days for whatever reason.
My claim still has not been processed almost a month later, and Jerome hasn't FedExed our paperwork that should have been sent out a week ago. I've called 3 times about said paperwork and received no callback. His customer service is literal trash. The only one I've worked with who is remotely competent is LaToya.
She has been a gem and made getting new car seats for my kids so easy. I'll be switching as soon as I can.
The lack of customer service over the weekends was an absolute deal breaker, and if I could have switched weeks ago, I would have. But alas, I'm stuck at their mercy until Jerome decides to finally finish processing my claim.

The phone number is inoperable. There's no customer service.
I am trying to split the payment in two cards and the optio s are not made available for the customer. There is no phone number where we can speak to an actual human being to address the issue.
All I'm getting from this company now is not the resolution, but to tell a computer what is wrong. The App for Roots is horrible.

You refuse to give us the report. You lied to us. You scammed us. We will never use Root again.
My sister, the lawyer, wants me to sue you. You have caused me more emotional damage than any other insurance company. Your company is a hoax, a scam. I wish I was in on that class-action lawsuit.
You refuse all payout no matter what.
I wish I knew what a horrible company you are. There is no photo because you will not share the video or the report.

No further contact with them. They haven’t reached back out to me nor have they returned my messages.
I took a screenshot of the page. I assumed that was the end of it until I saw a debit of. $258 and made contact that same day for a refund bc I still had coverage and hadnt cancelled my other policy. I wad told via email to make contact on Monday and was provided a phone number to call and I did snd I was only reimbursed $176 bc of the 2 days of provided coverage snd process fees.
This is NONSENSE snd I want my entire refund. I have coverage that was never cancelled bc I fess led to believe that root couldnt provide me coverage for whatever reasons based on the page I was redirected to snd now I want my entire $258 back, not just. $176!
I have my insurance card proving I have and had coverage I have the screenshot where I was told I couldnt be helped by Root. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!!

We are homeless and you refused to talk to us for a month. We lost everything in that fire.
We paid you and you scamed us. I wish I was in on that class action lawsuit. You won't even give us the 2k the van is worth. You are a vile disgusting company and your only business is to destroy people when they are at the worst time of their lives.
I can't add photos or video. You have it all and won't release the video or the report to us.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
So I went in shopping at a local store and while I was in shopping somebody hit the back into my car. Root is saying that I ran into something which I didn't someone ran into me and now they won't let me claim my uninsured motorist but I have to pay it each and every month. Root if this goes through as an uninsured motorist claim I'm suing you.

I purchased my policy on 6/17/2024 with roadside assistance. My vehicle did not start on 6/20/2024 after grocery shopping I called for roadside assistance and they told me my policy is not showing up it takes a couple of days.
Policy documents state you have coverage on the first day of payment, customer service said they only cover 100.00 and mileage of tow is 15miles I live 25 miles from the location they advised I will have to payout of pocket and it will be reimbursed the cost for tow was 307.00 after filing for a reimbursement I was issued a check for only 100.00 I advised there was no way the excess would be 200.00 for an additional 10 miles which average out to 20.00 a mile. I have not been able to get an answer on the overcharge

Just had my policy renewal and my rate went up by $170.00 a month. No accidents, no tickets.
I called Root customer Service, they claim they are open Saturdays 9AM - 3:00PM. I called twice, once at 11:00 AM eastern and again at 2:00PM eastern.
Their phone recording clearly says they are open Saturday from 9:00AM -3:00PM, but their offices are closed. How can a company the size of Root not have 24/7 help, and how can they justify such an increase in insurance premiums?

I feel Root could do better with making their customers aware that these charges will happen. I was not told of during the time of purchase.

My accident happened to me on 12/23/23 and I’m still waiting. They tried to not pay for my full estimate, because I guess of inflation is what I was told. But yet I’ve been paying them for full coverage insurance for a year!
My car is still in the shop and I have called the estimator several times. He finally realize the estimate he gave me was wrong and maybe someone told him I’m not in charge of inflation prices.
